MUSIC & PERFORMING ARTS

Sis. Julie Durrant
(Leader)

Psalm 149:1-9

We strive to produce perfect praise to God in the areas of dance, Public Address, Praise Team, Children’s music, and the band. We also set the atmosphere and work in harmony with the preached word, and our ultimate goal is to allow the spirit to draw all to himself.

Praise Team Leader
Sis. Joie Trott

Psalm 150:6
Let everything that hath breath, Praise the Lord; Praise Ye the Lord

We the praise team are the Levites; we are called out and joined unto God for such a time as this. It is our goal to utilize our gifts to the uplifting of God, and the tearing down of the enemy’s kingdom. We prayerfully enter into God’s presence and usher Him into the sanctuary thus setting an atmosphere so that the body will be edified and the Pastor can come forth and deliver the message without impediment.

“Divine Connection” Liturgical Dance
Superintendent Janice Battersbee (Leader)

Jeremiah 31:13
Then maidens will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow

Although the main purpose of this dance group is to support the worship experience through the interpretation of God's Word through song and dance, there is also a wonderful building of relationships and life lessons within the group. There is teaching regarding appropriate movement, garments, attitude, and demeanor whether during rehearsal or while ministering. The group ministers during worship services and by outside invitation at the discretion of the Pastor.

Music Director - Ryan Durrant
Psalm 150:1-6

A spirit-led six-piece band, we seek excellence as we work in harmony with the praise team, special selections, and the preached word. The goal for the band is to usher in the presence of God and to learn a variety of music skills, which broadens our level of musicianship that supports the Kingdom of God.

Rehearsals – Saturdays 3:30 PM

    • To encourage our seniors to fellowship with other seniors and retired persons, build relationships, and give them a sense of belonging.
    • To establish new routines for our seniors after they retire from the work force. We aim to highlight activities such as arts and crafts, playing games, and attending other community functions for seniors.
    • To help in mentoring the younger generation by instilling good values, promote a positive outlook on life, and share talents, skills, and abilities with them.
SUNDAY SCHOOL

Superintendent Janice Battersbee
(Leader)

Hebrews 8: 10 - 12
10 This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,
declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on
their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
11 No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying,
'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to
the greatest.
12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more

We aim to encourage spiritual growth and development through the reading and understanding of the Bible. There are adult and children's classes. Special emphasis is placed on reading the Bible in chronological order, which leads to lively discussion and note-taking.

Sunday School Sessions - 9:30am Sundays

USHERS

Sis. Earleen DeSilva
(Leader)

"Five Star Ushers in a Five Star Church"
